Tirana East Gate continues to strengthen its role not only as the largest shopping destination in Albania, but also as a space that promotes culture and emerging talent. Through the artistic initiative “MAKING”, starting from May 21, TEG opens its doors to young artists and experimental creations, offering the public a unique and interactive contemporary art experience.

Developed in collaboration with the University of Arts and with the support of Mane Foundation, the project brings to TEG a combination of traditional and contemporary art, focused on visual expression, graphic experimentation, and textile installations. “MAKING” transforms the shopping center into a dynamic creative space, where art is not only exhibited, but also experienced directly by the public. Participating artists, students from the University of Arts in Tirana, will create installations, graphic works, and textile art pieces in real time, inviting visitors to closely follow the entire creative process: from concept development and preparation, to the application of colors, printing techniques, and the finalization of the artworks.

By combining traditional graphic methods with contemporary visual art and textile experimentation, the project creates a dialogue between artistic heritage and modern creativity. “MAKING” introduces an educational and interactive dimension that presents art not only as a final product, but also as a process of reflection, exploration, and communication.

This initiative reflects TEG’s ongoing commitment to supporting culture, youth development, and the creative industries in Albania. By opening its doors to new artistic voices, TEG contributes to building stronger connections between the public and the local art scene, while encouraging young talents to share their vision with a wider audience.

“At TEG, we have always believed that a shopping center can be much more than just a shopping destination. Through ‘MAKING’, we wanted to create a space where art, creativity, and community come together, giving young artists the opportunity to experiment, express themselves, and share their work with the public in an authentic and direct way. Art has the power to create emotions and real connections between people, and that is exactly what we want to bring to TEG,” says Elda Hysenbelli.

“MAKING” is only one of several artistic projects supported by TEG, which has hosted multiple student exhibitions in recent years. This initiative also continues the ongoing commitment of Mane Foundation and BALFIN Group to support art, culture, and youth empowerment through initiatives that create a positive impact within the community. Through cultural and social projects, BALFIN Group and Mane Foundation continue to contribute to the development of a creative and inclusive scene in Albania.

You can visit “MAKING” at Tirana East Gate starting from May 21, near the Green Entrance.
